Latin motto
I am very used to seeing the Latin motto tempus fugit, time flies, on clocks but this is a new one on me.There is indeed a time to be born and a time to die and you may or may not want to be reminded of that when you look at your clock. A motto that I frequently see on Dutch Zandaam clocks is “Nu Elck Syn-Sin.” This is “old Dutch,” and translates literally as “Now each its sense.” It means, roughly, “Now to each his own” or “Now give every man what he wants or needs.”
Today I spent another day in the shop and delivering and got plenty of work done. I was expecting to have to do the same tomorrow but I can now work from home which suits me much better. I might even get some time to enjoy the sunshine!
