Dan Sowerby (& his Band)

The Dan Sowerby Band are one of Salisbury's most noted current bands, a sort of bluesy-grass outfit. Here, it's only Dan, the acoustic bass player and drummer are to my right. I've photographed them on a number of occasions and they're great to listen to, too, which is always nice.

Had just got the very old, heavy and battered manual focus Nikkor 135mm f2 and this was its first outing for band pix. Pink and red light always makes your subject look out of focus, however good your eyesight is and the getting sharp pics was a nightmare, the fast f2 making focus more critical but not that much better for seeing!

So, this is one of the few sharp ones.
