A No Whin Situation

Back to Longshaw again this morning. I accompanied Mr PB who was doing a Whinchat survey. A bit different from the hurley burley of yesterday because it was a more remote part of the estate and we were there for 6:30 am. It was a lovely morning if just a little misty, and we saw plenty of birds including Curlew, Oystercatchers, Blackcap, Willow Warblers and a family of 5 Stonechat of which this was the proud father. Sadly, no Whinchat.
