Piano student Janessa said her brother got his first pair of shoes with shoelaces. I asked if her mom is teaching him how to tie them, and she said "he's watching YouTube videos...that's the way to learn things."

The cicadas today were their loudest yet. But by the time of our walk up the hill tonight it had cooled off, and we enjoyed fireflies sparkling.
