Double Anniversary.

On this date 1953 The Lady I irreverently refer to as "Lizzie ii" was crowned Queen.
Here's a thought - my Gran lived during the reigns of:-
Victoria; Edward Vll; George V; Edward Vlll for a few nanoseconds; George Vl and three years into Elizabeth ll, though by then she was unaware of the fact.
Died at, I think it was, 85-6
Whereas - Anybody younger than 68 has only had one Monarch.

On this date in 1978 I fled Whitehaven, twice, utilising a D i Y removal of a "Luton" and a couple of mates; (The second load was about 25% plants) for promotion to Ldg. Fm. on Penrith Station  whence, despite now being retired for longer than I served, I have never managed to escape.
