Daisy bush
Back blipped on 1st June
We continued to charge the car overnight. Charging from the normal AC household supply is slow, adding maybe just 4 miles each hour, but we had added enough electrons to then drive down to Logan. Here, at the Botanic Gardens, we were able to connect to another charger, and thanks to the Scottish Government, we were able to add another 80 miles of electricity whilst we had a very pleasant wander. We were introduced to a number of new shrubs, most of which I would love to introduce into our garden, but our takeaway "must have" was the daisy bush. In extras is a close up view of the flowers, which really do look like daisies. They had a number of varieties, but this one is Olearia Cheesemanii.
Afterwards, we drove down to the tip of the Mull of Galloway, which is the southernmost point of Scotland. We had a lovely walk round, finding many wild flowers, including Scilla verna, spring squill, a rather gorgeous pale violet flower, seen in my second extra.
ArcLight mentions some annoyance with the numbers of cars and people. I, on the other hand, have been pleasantly surprised at how few people there are around here.
