Iris at the edge of the pond

Today seemed to disappear in a puff of smoke! We did our click and collect from Morrison's then a little gardening. After lunch a friend came and we went for a walk in the cool of the woods. After that she and I did some pond dipping in our pond. It was a lot more exciting than it sounds. She did her dissertation on wildlife in ponds and is a fount of knowledge. We have all sorts of nymphs, larvae, worms, snails, and things I have never heard of, some so small you can hardly see them. The extra is one of the above (I have forgotten what it is! )
