Dragon

It’s good to be in Wales and seeing my Mum for the first time in 17 months. The trains were fairly busy on the way across, especially on the approach to Manchester, but it is a holiday week.

The large red damselflies have set up home in Brother #1’s garden pond and it was great to watch this one, freshly emerged, perch while its wings hardened. You can see its exuvia just above. For a more mature example, see extras.
