Memorial Day Continued
Evidently, it is a "thing" at the national cemetery on Memorial Day to place a single rose on top of a loved ones grave. Not all of them had them, but many did.
But, all of them did have a flag in front of the headstone. Imagine the scene...close to 50,000 graves, with 50,000 flags in front of them. That's a lot of red, white, and blue.
Always a very humbling and somber experience to drive through.
A single row of headstones with flags is in my extras.
P.S. We are going "Up North" for a couple of days, and I don't think I'll be posting. See you on Friday.
