Day 152/21. Hurrah. Insects are here.

At last, summer has arrived and so have insects.
Our small pond today had this newley emerged male Large Red Damselfly. It stayed still enough for me to get a close shot. There lovely little insects are around 3 cm nose to tail.
The males are fiercly aggressive and often fight each other over the water. This one simply seemed to be enjoying the sun.
