Do The Hustle!

My Dear Princess, Loulou and Fellows,

I am quite tired. This is a low-energy entry.

Today the CST Team went to Tauranga, and the adjoining town of Mount Maunganui continuing our "tiki-tour".

As I'm sure most of you know, Mount Maunganui is Caro's home town so it was very weird being there without her.

Our office visit went very well and once again people seemed genuinely happy with us. There were laughs and good spirits. Not only that, but there were a few fluent te reo speakers there and so they were fully onboard with what we are trying to do.

But we were on a late flight home, and this meant we had about three hours to kill in the area. Which is when I got Feefs and family to meet up with the team for lunch!

I know. Worlds colliding.

But it was a good idea of mine. In fact I would go so far as to say brilliant. The actual family acquitted themselves well. The adopted work family did even better. It was a total love-fest all round. Everyone thought everyone else was amazing and there were rainbows and fairies.

Craig and Feefs escorted my happy team up to Moturiki, one of the small islands in Mount Maunganui that you can walk to from the beach. It was a beautiful day and we acted like dicks for the camera.

Craig got us to do "YMCA" as a pose for some reason and so driving back to the airport, Shenée put the song on and we all danced to it in the car until we realised she was filming us and uploading it to Teams for eff's sake.

Then it was MY turn and I put on "The Hustle" by Van McCoy. This has become our unofficial theme tune. This was after I told Fazzy "we must hustle!" when we were in a rush one day. And from then on, whenever we're running from one meeting room to the next, I can hear her singing:

DOOP DOOP DOOP DEE DOOBY-DOOP-DOOP-DOOP

We do have to hustle a lot. We always seem to be over-running one session or having too much fun to remember about the next.

But I don't mind. Having too much fun is a nice problem to have.

S.
