Bank Holiday in the Lakes

If you're local, you know where to go to avoid the crowds. We passed horrendous crowds and traffic jams and lots of people picnicking by rivers where we'd seen no one before. We  made our way over the the West Lakes.  A walk round Devoke Water including 3 Wainwright Outlying Fells then a swim and a BBQ with the swimming buddies (extra). We left no trace,  only footprints and took nothing other than photographs.
