I Can See Clearly Now
This morning it was a surprise to look out the front door and see blue sky. I couldn't find one of the ingredients for tonights dinner so took myself off for a walk to the supermarket. On the return leg through a park I managed to snap they young men who had just finished football practice. This area of Christchurch is blessed with small parks among the houses.
The forester woke me at midnight to say he was safely arrived in Te Anau. A drive of 1,009 km or 626 miles. He left at 9.30 am. This morning another phone call to say it was a clear day and he would be boarding the helicopter soon. He and his friend Andy were going to dropped off at a high point on Long Island, Dusky Sound and they will use their chainsaws to cut a route down to the beach. I thought that was going to be easier that climbing up and cutting as you go. They group will be living on a boat nad flying out on Saturday. he has got his dive gear with him so he will be hoping for some crayfish/lobster gathering.
I can see clearly now the rain is gone.
I can see all obstacles in my way.
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind.
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day.
