Selfie with a twist :)

The cicadas were out in force today after two days of rain. The females emerged a few days ago so the males’ songs to attract them were very loud! One of them landed on my shoulder and its song from that close up sounded like a car alarm! Or maybe it was when it realized *this* female wasn’t interested ;)

They were fluttering all around (and onto us) at golf. They are pretty clumsy flyers and the slightest breeze is a hardship. I still find them endearing :)
