Cabra

Our first stop on out maiden motorhome voyage was the delightful town of Cabra in Cordoba. The weather was not very kind with us. We arrived at the free camping area and headed into town armed with an umbrella. We needed it!

The town was preparing for a fiesta. We went to visit the Iglesia de San Juan Bautista. A few locals were milling around waiting for the procession to start. They had a fair few hours to wait. The church's history is typical of most catholic churches in Spain. It is built on top of the original mosque of the defeated moors. The Moorish influence is seen throughout the town.
