Hottest day of the year
Today is Bank Holiday in England but not in Scotland. Hence photos of crowded beaches and traffic jams as people race to the countryside and beaches are unknown in Scotland.
Here Bank holidays are spread out which can lead to some confusion ( Glasgow on holiday but not Edinburgh ). On the other hand it is a very sensible arrangement with plenty of space for everyone.
Talking of space just look at this photo of folk lounging alongside the Allan Water river in Bridge of Allan.
As we come out of lockdown it is noticeable that our wee Victorian spa town is booming while other towns in the central belt of Scotland are not so fortunate.
Temperature: 23C.
