Heading Westwards
Thanks so much for all your encouraging comments yesterday; I can assure you that the blessing was entirely mutual.
We wandered down to their covered wagon a couple of times today - as I said to them, we're really their only neighbours, as we're the only people who actually live on this side of the castle. This morning, Mickael showed us all round their home, see Mike's Blip for more views. Can you see the goat on the right? Her kid is almost hidden in the grass. There's also a mule, a hinny, and two donkeys.
As the girls ate loads of Mike's bread last night, he made them a loaf when he made ours, and we took it down to them hot from the oven.
Gratefuls:
- being able to have a lie-in; it was after 2am by the time we finished clearing up
- drama amongst the birds this evening; two doves being amorous, a hoopoe coming really close, blackbirds, azure-winged magpies, and loads of sparrows; think I might need to put out another bird bath or two; they empty it at least twice a day at the moment
- easy meals from delicious leftovers
