Leopardsbane

Today's the day .......................... for a host of yellow

I went for a walk today in the same wood that I took this picture of all the snowdrops, back in February.  But this time, everything had turned yellow.

It was the most amazing sight - hundreds upon hundreds of what I think is Doronicum, commonly known as Leopardsbane.  I've only ever seen it growing in a garden before, so maybe it is an garden escape - but if it was, it must have happened a long time ago for there to be so many.

Has anyone else seen anything similar ......................?
