Why?
Had to drive my husband up to Montrose today, so I took my camera and walking boots and explored the countryside.
Montrose basin is a bird sanctuary, with several hides but although I saw quite a few birds, most were too far away or too fast to capture (see extra for one of the hides and swans). At the side of one of the fields there were about 6 wrecked and rusty cars which seemed rather incongruous in a nature reserve. This one, i suppose, was gradually being taken over by nature.
In the afternoon, the weather brightened up and I found a beach. I do love a wander along a beach.
