Kurt Jackson painting

This is a Kurt Jackson painting of part of the clay pits around St Austell. I went to his exhibition at Wheal Martin China Clay Museum.  He usually paints seascapes - he's a local artist and gives away a lot of his 'profits' to conservation charities.

It was very quiet in the museum - the perfect place to avoid the tourists who have been arriving in their droves. The police posted a video of the M5 near Exeter. At midnight on Friday/Saturday it was incredibly busy! Apparently whatever time people have travelled down here their journeys have been twice as long as normal.

I’m wondering where to go this half term week that won’t be overcrowded!  I've looked at webcams of some of my favourite places and they are very very crowded.
