Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right*
I took a drive south after a terrible sleepless night trying to thole the rage of nettle stings across my legs. Starting from the roadend at Cocklawfoot, I climbed Windy Rig up to the horizon at Windy Gyle where I joined the Pennine Way. The path across the peat hags is now improved with these sandstone flagstones to help prevent erosion. Easy but tedious walking. I saw only two people.
Paths from Northumberland joined near The Cheviot along with the crowds. Back to Scotland and a lovely grassy descent to Cocklawfoot.
The pic is looking north-east towards The Cheviot on the horizon. Scotland on the left of the fence.
