Rural Myth
Part of the hedge is infested by Ermine moth caterpillars in May/June each year. There must be thousands of them. What baffles me is that the birds seem to ignore them. The webs cover about 2 metres of hedge which must be blackthorn as they don't bother with the other parts of the hedge.
