Wild flowers

Today we went to the WWT at Barnes. We took the grandchildren to the play area and en route saw very few birds in the water but lots of wild flowers by the paths. This year they have left much of the vegetation alongside the paths uncut so more flowers etc than usual. So we decided to teach them a few that were plentiful there...Ox eye daises, buttercups, clover, vetch and something new to me Bistort......also known as snake weed....I had to use my plant app to identify it! Apparently it is typically found in moist areas.
We will have to see if they remember them next time we see them!
