Onwards and Upwards

The Law was covered in Haar this morning, I had hoped the peak may be above the cloud line. Not quite but it was agonisingly close. I stuck around for five more minutes to see if it would clear but it didn't. Then a guy in his 70s moving with purpose turned up and the sky cleared a bit more just as he arrived. We watched as other peaks in the area came in to view above the cloud line. It was quite a sight. I told him that 20 seconds ago it was all white. He smiled and said "onwards and upwards" and immediately started his descent. The dense mist returned the moment he left.
