Dwarf

In my new, super-mini sized garden, it's a good thing I'm keen on alpines.   Small is beautiful!   Dwarf shrubs add another dimension and in a wetter climate and with suitable soil I will be able to enjoy plants like Rhododendron campylogynum myrtilloides, just a few inches high, the flowers smaller than thimbles.

Ruth's last day, her lift picked her up at lunchtime.  We've really enjoyed having her here and look forward to more visits :-)     After she'd left, Jamie and I potted on tomato plants, cucamelons, squash, courgette, pumpkin and basil plants.   All growing well.

An evening clean at work where it's the start of a busy week.   Extra trains this evening - a charter and a volunteer special - made it a much more interesting shift than usual.   Good to see a few friends there too.
