Another chilly haar here today

The haar finally cleared in Portobello at 1630 as the majority of families were packing up to go home. We enjoyed the beach despite the haar as we had our young visitors to entertain us. Their enthusiasm is indeed infectious!

Earlier our visitors had made a nostalgic visit to their mother’s alma mater: St Andrews. The haar was also lurking there!

Despite the chill the beach and promenade were busy. A Scottish Sunday tabloid photographer tried to persuade our daughter and husband, sitting outside one of the prom cafes to allow him to use his photo of them wrapped up against the chill! They politely declined.

Guests’ Lateral Flow Tests completed this evening. A very reassuring further sign of the Covid times in which we are now all having to function.
