American Air Crash WW2

I've lived around these moors for 30 years, but never knew the story of an American plane crashing on the Worsthorne moors WW2 in fog until today. 9 died and one survived and crawled down to a farm. And we flew rim back in 70s to visit his friends " burial site"...Walked here today...completely off beaten track and in heather and bog up to my arse...but very worth it.
