Not the homecoming we wanted

Back from our travels and put the first load of washing in the machine. Set the programme, pressed go and walked out. 10 mins later it was beeping madly, flashing F050 at us and the clothes were still dry. Tried again, same outcome, went on line, no such code for Miele washing machines. Checked the book - no such code. Worked out that the water valve wasn’t opening.
Managed to get an appointment for a service person for Thursday. Considering it was nearly twice the price of a Zanussi or Bosch and it is only 4 months old we are not impressed.
