sunset over Lake Kariba...

We had a wonderful day - hiked to the top of the ridge overlooking the bay and then down to the gorge!  Unfortunately my left leg really hurts when walking (I think it comes from arthritis but unconfirmed)!  During the hike I really struggled and had to use a stick.  I made it however but I did slow the others down a bit!  It was very frustrating!  After lunch there was the choice of canoeing, or having a dip in the pool which is actually in the lake but made so that crocodiles cannot enter it! Very clever design!!

Late afternoon we went out on a boat cruise around the dam for sunset.....the light here is incredible - while the sunset is gorgeous it doesn't set on the water but on the hills behind.  This leaves an incredible orange glow on the water and the sky....just stunning!

Went to bed tired but happy...hoping for no interruptions from the hippos in the lake!

Backblipped...network is very slow even in Lusaka these days!!
