Living Fossils Return

and your roving fossil went to photograph.The European water Turtle is endangered and if you read the link from NABU ( it's in English) you'll see why .Little and large in the main image  then two small ones in my extra.On the island are several species of duck  and  quite a few coots .I watched them move and they were even slower than me !.As usual the reason they are on an  alert list is humans .No surprise there ..
