Sea Life

This is Sugar Kelp and edible;  I suspect it's a bit tough.
I just bought a book "The Seaweed Cookbook" - a guide to edible seaweeds and how to cook with them.  I intend to harvest some seaweeds and try them.  I have previously used seaweed in cooking, but  it was ready-dried that someone else had prepared.
The sea here is crystal clear - even so, I think I would go out of town a bit to find some seaweed to harvest.
