Bird Walk

An early start (6.30) for a guided bird walk around the St Ives estate.  The only one taking place this year and enjoyable as always, new birds to me were the garden warbler and the whitethroat.   I wish I could identify more birds by their song or at least distinguish one from an other better.  Sunshine at the start and end of the walk but misty in the middle, the rest of the day was beautifully warm, we went up to Five Rise Locks and had lunch beside the canal then back home to tackle a bit of gardening before reading and feet up!
