Breakfast
Even more unlocked
We have a relatively recently acquired tradition of going for a big breakfast on our last morning in Keswick, it saves washing up and we’re usually famished after packing up. We rather like the excellent Full English at Laura’s which is next to the Bank Tavern. Their sign caught my eye this morning. It features Laurel and Hardy at what I presume is a bank counter. Why Laurel and Hardy I’m not sure although Stan Laurel is fairly local , hailing as he did from Ulverston in the South Lakes.
I can’t find anything on the history of the pub except that it’s a listed building.
Home now. No traffic problems going our way but the northbound M6 was pretty much a car park from Birmingham to Penrith!
