In Memoriam

On my morning stroll across town, I spotted this rather moving tribute to Covid victims and NHS staff.

A 34 metre diameter installation called 'In Memoriam' by artist Luke Jerram has appeared on Harrogate's West Park Stray. 

This giant artwork includes more than 100 blue and white flags made from real hospital bed sheets in a spectacular but dignified tribute to victims of the virus and frontline NHS staff and care workers who have put their own lives at risk.

Viewed from above, the blue flags form a medical cross symbol as can be seen here.
