Sedbergh Artisan Market

For the first time since February 2019 (when Covid started) the Sedbergh Artisan Market took place. One of the stalls was run by one of the WI members who is hoping to fund a memorial for the Canary Girls who turned yellow due to their work in munitions. There is currently no memorial to these women and there should be, as an awful lot of them died supporting the war effort.
It was great that the market restarted. Maybe life is finally returning to normal. .
