Rainy day blue jay

We've had a wonderful soaking rain for close to 24 hours. The garden is happy and the pollen is washing away so our world will no longer be dusted with yellow. The birds and beasties are carrying on as usual, but look totally drenched. 

This is our traditional start of summer, a three day weekend. Monday is the holiday, Memorial Day. The weather forecast is grim, lots of rain predicted, we need it, but the timing is the worst for outdoor festivities.
