Clevedon

And so for a different perspective on where we live, we headed over to Clevedon for the day, to visit the Victorian pier, lovingly restored by admirers, including support from Sir John Betjeman. From the end of the pier we could see clearly across to Newport and Twmbarlwm, with Cwmbran nestling on the hillside, before the grey veil of showers descended. Fortunately the worst seemed to pass us by, to enjoy the simple pleasure of a walk along the coast.
