Creekside

We decided to escape the South Carolina heat by going to #1 sons home in North Carolina for a few days. We left home about 9:30am where the temperature was already 86F. We drove along the back roads in order to avoid travelers on the interstate highway. It took longer but only had one area where the traffic was backed up.

The further north and west we traveled the cooler the temperature was. By the time we got to Tate’s it was 69F. My favorite kind of weather! But really cloudy.

We had a couple of rain showers after we got here but we were able to get a walk along the creek after supper.

Lots of wildflowers growing by the creek. Everything is so green here compared to our home where it has not rained in a month.
