Warm!

M was waiting for a delivery and so just Fletch and I went for a walk. 
The air felt quite fresh by the water but it gradually got warmer. We didnt walk far mileage wise but we were out quite a while, pausing under the trees for Fletch to keep cool.

The bonsai arrived packed in an enormous box. The Palletways truck was also enormous  and I was very impressed how the driver managed to squeeze it through the parked cars down our road where there was only about a cm space on either side. 

This evening we went out! The first time since Feb 2020! 
My sis in law was staying overnight for work so we met her and went to the Abbey House  for a meal. 
Normally we wouldnt have gone there knowing that they were fully booked.. too many people. ( not really because of Covid but busy usually = noisy and slower service. ) But when we got there we were given a table in the Al Fresco area which was better as there was plenty of fresh air and the service was good. They put on the overhead heaters and as it was a warm night it was  quite comfortable. The tables were spaced out but it was a bit noisy as there was a large group celebrating somebody's birthday.  But.. all the same we had a very pleasant evening. It was so good to  meet up with Becky.. last time I saw her was for a quick coffee and chat 9 months ago and M hadnt seen her since Dec 2019. 
So lovely to see her and of course we were out longer than we expected so Fletch gave us a good barking when we got home.  

Who knows what will happen regarding restrictions or relaxation re Covid rules..  but hopefully it will not be too long before we can meet up again.
