So what was it all about?

What was this day all about?

Well, firstly, LongLegs had more pneumothorax surgery - a pleurodesis - on the second lung. He was at St. George’s Hospital, Tooting, and we weren’t allowed to be with him. It went smoothly but he was delayed and delayed and we had to guess when he finally went into theatre purely because he was out of contact.

Poor little (big) chap. His first lung was done when he was 17 and that was a shocker. His allergy to morphine was discovered then and that’s mattered a lot with heart surgery and an appendectomy since.

Secondly, NoaNoa has finally finished his GCSE’s. After so long, and so many papers, he’s all done. The boy has been steady, but energy and motivation had begun to wear thin.

Thirdly, our lovely friends from across the world left their home at dawn and arrived at ours this evening. They’ll be quarantining here with us and I think it’s exciting and lovely to have the 6 of them here.

Fourthly, I went walking with a friend during the afternoon. I couldn’t sit at home and twiddle my thumbs. I needed fresh air and chatter to distract me.

I am grateful to God for His power, His protection and His provision.

NoaNoa’s final GCSE exam was English Literature Paper 3 of 3.
