Squirty Square
Had to go into Reguengos, across the Lake, for some things, including ordering windows, and ended up having lunch in O Gato for the first time since restrictions. Sandra has left, but the main square it's on has been totally redone; shame about the gorgeous old trees, but at least they've planted some spindly new ones, and I like the floor fountain. Plus, of course, everywhere now has outdoor seating, and looks like a rather upmarket new restaurant has opened, as well as a quiosque selling waffles with all sorts.
Wondered when and if our beloved Mourão will get its tourist act together...
Gratefuls:
- a new fun place to go (Ju, the brownie dessert Dad had was delicious)
- a new colleague arriving from Peru, after being refused boarding the first time
- new asparagus (cultivated, not wild) and pimientos padrón for supper
