The Battle of Franklin Trust

In the past year, we have had so many monuments torn down in America so I was almost shocked to see this Civil War monument still standing. This monument commemorates the Confederate soldiers. The Civil War battle of Franklin Trust happened near hear. It was a bloody battle with more than 10,000 people killed in a small area. 

We visited the battlefield. It seemed like people must have felt they were in hell in this bloody battle.
