Bay of Ireland (Day 2212)
A bit of a later start this morning and a trip to Stromness to salvage a part from a dead biomass boiler. It will maybe come in handy some day as a temporary replacement. I had expected it to take longer to remove than it did, so I headed along to A's shed and got the van washed for the first time in a while.
The next job was to look at a heating system which wasn't working. A couple of quick checks pointed to a dead motorised valve, so I zoomed to town to get a replacement. Back in Stromness I got the part fitted, then headed home for lunch and a wander at Lyde with my beautiful wife and Sigyn. As we walked I got a call to say the heating system wasn't working as it should, and I realised I had probably made a mistake with the wiring. I said I would get back out to them, and managed to get hold of an electrician to meet me there. He had it sorted out in a couple of minutes. Sometimes it is sensible to admit defeat, next time I will photograph the wiring before I change anything. With the spark in tow, I headed to Mum and Dad's and got Ryan to sort out a shower switch which needed changed.
A bit of a blether with Mum and Dad, then back home to get the grass cut.
