Family Cormorant

I managed to get out in the garden this morning for some much needed weeding and then this afternoon we went to look at the progress on the new cricket pitch. The site is rather undulating at the moment so they need to bring in a lot of soil to make the levels even. They were bringing in hardcore today to form a road, I think. We walked along the roadside where there was a profusion of wild flowers which you tend to miss when you are driving by. There were plenty of nettles for the butterflies. We then walked back along the river where my husband spotted this cormorant (I think) which unfortunately was spooked by a dog which chased it off.
