A record shot

What birders call a photo that definitely shows a particular unusual species but is not as good as it could be. It was a long way away and unusually for Uist there was a heat haze - my excuses.
Dotterels are pretty things and uncommon. The generic name is one of the better ones - a trip of Dotterel. This one however seems to be undertaking its journey unaccompanied. 
Much packing in advance of going to the mainland tomorrow but we also managed to squeeze in a meal at the recently re-opened pub with D&J.
