That Eye!

My timing to come up here was perfect.  This weekend, fire restrictions are going into effect for the entire Coronado National Forest, which includes Madera Canyon in the Santa Rita Mountains.

I had to crop the heck out of a couple birds so I will put the broad-billed hummingbird in as extra. It wasn't the best hummer I got but it was the best in flight.

I decided to use this yellow-eyed junco as my blip.  I was able to fill the frame with him.  He was in an area off limits to regular visitors and I got him as I walked back to my casita.  

I am sitting on my porch loading and processing my photos offline.  I was surprised to see that I was auto logged into the same network I used earlier today - barely.  I'll do my best to post now then I'm going to build my fire to cook my cheeseburgers. 

The weather was awesome, the folks staying here and visiting were all very nice. It was a good day.
