Birding on the Jurassic coast
We've had a marvellous day on the Jurassic Coast, in Dorset, birdwatching with six like-minded friends. We walked from Worth Matravers ( a few miles west of Swanage) to Winspit, where I took this photo looking towards Durlston Head, and then along the top of these cliffs for a mile, before heading inland again from Seacombe cliffs.
In the Winspit and Seacombe valleys we heard and saw many Whitethroats, Blackcaps and Yellowhammers. When we walked on the cliff tops we found lots of Skylarks, Goldfinches and Stonechats, while down below us on the sea, were Guillemots and a couple of Puffins.
This evening it was Online Uke Jam.
So it's been a busy day!
