Badge 1...

...for the next little figure skater! Lucy was so proud as she told us on the phone that she’d just got her first badge.
She has certainly gained in confidence in many ways over the last few months. She was so shy when she started school last Autumn and wouldn’t leave Amelia’s side, who was like a mother hen! Now she goes racing into the playground shouting after her friends. When she first tried skating a year ago she was quite scared so Sabrina enrolled her in ballet and tap instead, which she loves but recently had asked to try skating again and she’s got the bug now!

Today we had a really lazy day. It’s been raining and is quite cold so I did a bit of drawing, a bit of knitting and watched Call the Midwife on iPlayer.

Tonight is The Great British Sewing Bee!

Tomorrow we have to get ready to go up to Sabrina’s on Friday. It will be her 40th Birthday on Monday and we are babysitting on Sunday so they can have a day and night away.
The girls are excited that we’re going up again ;-)
