Rescue mission

I was 6 miles into a nine mile walk when I heard the frantic squeaks of this little fella stuck in a bush alongside footpath. I untangled him gently and he just tried to go up my sleeve. I looked everywhere for any nests or other birds/ ducks around....NOTHING. So I carried him nearly 2 miles to a Nature Reserve , where very luckily there was a warden having a cuppa in the cafe. I was so convinced he was a duckling....what do I know....He was a Partridge chick and the warden said he'd probably been thrown out of the nest by a cuckoo as there are many hatching around the area I found him. He's now with RSPB chappy.
