A smile in the buttercups?

This morning I went for a walk around the village.  Lady Beatrice the swan is still sitting on her nest but she was late laying her eggs.

The buttercups in the castle field were looking beautiful and cheering a dull day.  As I was taking photos of them this group walked along.  One lady was trying to get the child to smile while the other one was taking photos with her phone.  I was too far away to see if she succeeded but I hope that she did.

I did some gardening this afternoon.  The weeds have really grown during my week away but at least the damp soil makes it easier to remove them.
